Catfish don't have teeth but around there lips is something similar to cartilage with tiny pointed tips made from the cartilage and the surface is similar to sandpaper.
When noodling for cats a protective glove should be used just to protect the skin where the mouth/lips are.
You can see in this video were some blood was let caused by the scraping from the mouth of the fish.
